we really enjoyed our stay and had no problems. For self catering was amazing as had all the pots and pan. Very relaxing.
The only thing that surprised us was the desposit fee upfront. Other then that everything was perfect.
It alost felt like home
I found the apartment good value for money. It was nice and spacious and contained everything you would need. the location was excellent, 5min walk to broad street and restaurants etc.
Cost of the deposit for breakages. £250 is abit on the high side although they don’t charge you it, it is just preauthorised but it still makes you paranoid during your stay. Could of been cleaned better. We found we gave the apartment a good wipe before we could relax.
Closer to NIA arena
Phone did not work, has everything from knife to scissors but dont have spoons, beds are not comfortable, not enough tea bags sugar and etc.. Check in time is too late at 4.00 i wouldn't like to visit in a spring..
The location was ideal; one minutes walk to join the canal walkway system and from there just a few minutes walk to Brindley Place and the city centre. Also within walking distance of New Street Station (although perhaps not with heavy bags!) The apartment was an ideal base for a family with two young children as we had lots of space and could come and go exactly as we pleased - so much better than tripping over each other in a typical hotel 'family room'. Based on this experience, I would cetainly opt for an apartment instead of a hotel room next time and would recommend this option to other families.
Our apartment was spotlessly clean but definately in need of some tlc. Appearance-wise it was a bit spartan but it did have everything we needed, particularly in the kitchen.
City Nites is a great place to stay and excellent value for money. The apartment is spacious with an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge and separate bedroom and bathroom. The apartment is a great location base for exploring Birmingham - the N.I.A. is just across the road and you can stroll to the Bullring or Mailbox for shopping and food in about 15/20 mins. The staff we very pleasant and helpful. The apartment block also has underground secure parking for an additional cost which we found very handy and cheaper than parking elsewhere in the city for the time we were in Birmingham. There was two negatives - 1. The bin under the sink wasn't emptied from the previous guest and 2. The mattress needs replacing as it's very lumpy and we had to cover with a duvet so we could sleep! We would rate City Nites 4/5 - if the two negatives were ironed out the it would be 5/5 - would definitely use again!
As mentioned above: 1. Bin not emptied from previous guest and 2. Mattress needs renewing as lumpy and you can feel the springs! :(
easy access to shopsand restaurants
bed was uncomfertable
the close location to NIA
Mostly, I appreciated the tranquility (suprising, since there is an array of nightlife within a couple of minutes drive from the hotel) and the smart appearance and cleanliness of the rooms.
The only thing that I would request next time is a double bed, not 2 beds pushed together as I could feel the piping in the middle of bed. Also, the settees are a little small, but there are 2 of them.
size of apartment was good and location was very good
The receptionist (i think his name was kyle) remained freindly whilst all the problems with several other peoples rooms were also not ready
when we arrived our apartment was not ready. We were given a key to another apartment that had another guest in already. The other room that we were given the linen was not on the bed, but was ready when we returned. T
the apartment was very convenient for everything we needed had a lovely time the staff were efficient and friendly would definetly book again .
convenience and more relaxed than a hotel
The rooms were all a good size, the bedroom was lovely!
The attention to detail in the preparation of the accommodation was very pleasing. Plus the proximity to the NIA and the main shopping centre.
The fact that we had only booked one night and couldn't stay longer!
